News from Butler County!!!
Butler County beat out Savannah, Ga., to host the 2024 Can-Am Police-Fire Games. The Can-Am Police-Fire Games is a multisport, Olympic-style event featuring sports competitions such as cross-country races, cycling, ultimate Frisbee, ice hockey, power lifting, archery and shooting events. More than 1,000 firefighters, police officers, emergency medical providers, Homeland Security and Border control employees, corrections officers and other emergency responders from the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Canada will compete in the games. Butler County will welcome athletes and spectators from July 15 to 21, 2024 in various venues throughout the county.
Our club will be hosting most of the shooting events, including Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, 5 Stand, a one mile run combined with pistol marksmanship and some type of PPC course of fire.
The officers of the club realize this event won’t happen for 4 more years but there is a lot of planning to be done and a lot of work to do at all our ranges so we will be asking all members for help in the future.
